Myron Roth

    Myron holds a B.Sc. in Zoology from UBC and a Ph.D. from the Institute of Aquaculture, University of Stirling, Scotland where he studied sea lice control on salmon farms. Over the last 20 years Myron has held positions with a salmon farming company in Canada, an international pharmaceutical company, and the government of British Columbia giving him direct experience working with the salmon aquaculture industries on both coasts of Canada, Scotland, Norway, Ireland and Chile. His work has focused on aquaculture policy, aquatic animal drug and vaccine development and registration, aquatic animal biotechnology, and aquaculture production. In his current role as the Industry Specialist, Aquaculture and Seafood with the BC Ministry of Agriculture, Myron focuses on technology transfer and policy, and represents the Province on several regional and national research, technical, and innovation advisory and funding committees.
